Scandinavia 2019

As I was 12 years old I spent a whole summer in Norway south of the Jotunheimen mountains and was overwhelmed by the natural surroundings — fjells with snow caps, fjords, waterfalls, toundras. I later returned to this amazing country, but I did not make it northernmost than Åndalsnes. Cycling Fjord Norway and Lofoten has been on my bucket list before getting started with cycle touring.
  
Cycling Norway, Lapland and Sweden’s Inlandsvägen
 
On this 79 days during third long distance cycle tour I rode in 62 day stages from Northern Germany through Danish Jutland, along the Norwegian coast from Kristiansand via Stavanger, Bergen, Ålesund, the Atlanterhavsvegen to Trondheim, took the Nordland train from Trondheim to Bodø, cycled via the Lofoten, Vesterålen and Senja islands to Tromsø, Alta to Havøysund, cruised with Hurtigruten to Honningsvåg and through the Barents Sea to Kirkenes, rode through Finnish and Swedish Lapland and along Sweden’s Inlandsvägen to south-west Sweden, and via Helsingborg, Rødbyhavn and Lübeck back home.
