Day 1 I left my base camp around 7:30am and followed road B6 to Nienburg. Outer temperature around 0°C. Short before Nienburg the car with my two beloved daughters Désirée and Julie and friend Tobi overtook me. We would met again the next day in Norden/Ostfriesland. In Heiligenfelde I left the B6 road and used short-cuts to Ganderkesee and finally arrived at Uwe and Sylvia’s home, my first Warmshowers hosts on this tour, near Oldenburg around 7pm. We had dinner together with their son and interesting talks about cycle touring. Thank you again Uwe and Sylvia for your kindness and great hospitality!
