Day 30 Another day of island hopping. I left the camping site around 9am with sunshine and mild 12°C, heading northward on road 815. After 20 km the road ended in mainroad E10 and I passed the Sundklakk Bridge (Sundklakkbrua) connecting Vestvågøya and Gimsøya.
Twenty minutes later I left the island by crossing the 839 m long Gimsøystraumen Bride (Gimsøybrua) connecting Gimsøya and Austvågøya and continued on the E10.
In the village of Kabelvåg I passed Vågan Church (nickname: Lofotenkatedralen), the largest wooden building in Northern Norway.
Around 2pm I stopped at a supermarket in Svolvær to buy some food, but did not wanted to stay any longer, the small town being crowded with tourists from a cruise ship.
Short before Laupstad, I left the main road to find a quiet night spot and eventually found it in Laukvik at the shore of Vatnfjorden.
For the second time in Norway mobile internet access was poor. I went to the camping site cafeteria and ordered a beer to get access to the wifi and upload my stage data. Internet access was snailish, but the beer was good.
