Førde — Olden (Nordfjord)

Day 18 The day started with cloudy but dry weather and I enjoyed a nice ride along the Jølstervatnet lake. Between Skei and Birkjelo the road follows a torrent curse through an ancient mossy glacier valley between 1000 m high mountain walls. Grieg’s “In the Hall of the Mountain King” echoed in my mind. I was overwhelmed by the wild beauty of the scenery and later left the valley with a large smile on my face. ⁠⠀

A last 640 m climb awaited me after Byrkjelo, followed by a fast descent to the Innvikfjord. After a final 25 km road section along the shore of the fjord I reached Olden and stopped at a camping site.⁠
