Svenstrup — Hjørring – Roaming Around

Day 6 A cloudy sky and a fresh headwind were my travel compagnons on that day. At noon I reached Aalborg and passed the bridge over the Limfjord. At the outskirts of the city, I discovered a bicycle pump station near the cycleway, demonstration how bike-friendly the Danes are. Later in Brønderslev I stopped for lunch at a café-restaurant and enjoyed delicious spaghetti carbonara. It started to rain as I arrived in Hjørring and I cycled straight to the home of my Warmshowers host Maiken and her daughter Junie, who were on hurry and left for swimming, accompanied by wo friends of Junie. While they were away, I took a shower, put my sweaty clothes in the washing machine and cycled to the next supermarket to buy some food and a little present for my friendly hosts. As they came back, we had dinner together and interesting talks.
