Day 66 Early in the morning I was wakened by the rain and it was still raining as I left the camping site and during most of the day stage. But my rain clothes got more wet from inside because of the long slopes I had to climb up. Around noon I had to stop in the pouring rain and luckily found a shelder at a lake. Because of the rain, I missed to stop at stage kilometre 40.6 where I reached the 5,000 km mark, but it is at least just a number. Fortunatly it stopped raining later in the afternoon and a shy sunshine accompained my arrival in Sundsvall. I stopped at a car wash self station to get bike and bags cleaned before ckecking-in at the hotel and had a chat with a local cyclist while pedalling on the last kilometres.
After having taken a shower and washed all wet clothes I went to a nice restaurant nearby and had a great dinner.
