Day 43 I spent my cycling day heading north on road 75, excepted for the last few kilometres on road 76 to Kuhmo. I found a good place to take lunch at a lake. In the afternoon, as I was just having a short stop at the top of a hill, I saw a cyclist coming up the slope in front of me and waited until he had reached my position. Because he asked me in English with a well-known accent where I was coming from, I answered him in French. He had started his actual trip from Kirkenes (Norway) and was cycling back to France.
I will spend the night at Hotelli Kalevala at the border of lake Lammasjärvi, close to road 912 I will follow tomorrow to Suomussalmi.
