Day 42 After a short night, I had a copious home-made breakfast and leaved the cottage around 9.30am. I had to first cycle the same way back to catch road 6 in Ahmovaara. It was then easy to cycle on road 6 northward. But as my navigation app directed me on a secondary road, I had to climp up steep slopes and was after a while happy to be again on road 6. On the last kilometres on road 75 eastward toward Nurmes a fresh headwind halved my speed. Nurmes town centre lies on a narrow hill ridge between lake Pielinen and lake Nurmesjärvi.
