Day 16 We had a delicious breakfast together at 7.30am and I was around 9am on the road again.
Thank you again Henryk and Wiesława for your great hospitality and hoping to see you again!
At 11.30am CET (10.30am EUT) I crossed the border to Lithuania.
The road became better and after a while it was totally flat and I could speed up.
Well, the last 7 km gravel road giving access to the village, where to my next Warmshowers host Evaldas and his family are living were not easy to cycle and I could have accepted Evaldas’ offer to pick me up from the main road, but the hearty welcoming I received there was worse the effort!
Evaldas, his parents, two sisters and further relatives I am so grateful to have met during my short visit are so easy going, interested and kind persons that I would have liked to spend more time with them.
We went together to their summer cottage and had a great time all together.
Back home, Evaldas had to say goodbye and go back to Vilnius, where he actually does an internship as part of his university studies.
