Kołobrzeg — Ustka – Roaming Around

Day 8 I left Maciej and Ewa around 8.30am, took the direct way to the beach and followed the cycle path. After a few kilometres, a young policewoman stopped me. I could not understand what she was telling me, but at least undestood the word “marathon” and asked Google for further information. I understood that the Kolobrzeg Marathon and Half Marathon races were taking place on that day. The policewoman further tried to stop other cyclists, but they all answered in Polish and simply ignored her request. I felt compassion with the policewoman trying to do her job and decided to ait until the runners have passed the place. I had at least to wait for half an hour and finally dediced to follow a group of HM runners on my own. I was now in the middle of the race and it took me another half an hour to get the race behind me. On the way to Ustka I stopped a few times and reached the seaside resort in the evening. At the guesthouse, I asked for a place to eat sea food and following the recommandation of the receptionist, had a good walk along the beach promenade to Tawerna Columbus near the lighthouse, got tasty seafood there and spent a very good evening after the long journey.
