Day 5 I left the guesthouse after a cosy breakfast and cycled through the woods to Barth. I took traffic free agricultural roads, but had to push my bike a few times uphill. In the afternoon I finally reached Grimmen. This was a good opportunity for a break and a very tasty meal. It was late as I passed Greifswald and latter as I arrived in Wolgast and cycled over the Peenebrücke. I still had 20 km to ride and the sun had set. Half an hour later it was totally dark and I was quite exhausted but willing to reach the guesthouse. At 10.15pm I finally reached the guesthouse. The restaurant had still closed, but I could get a beer before taking a shower, washing my travel clothes and go to bed.
Tomorrow I have a day off, time to do some work, to update my travel blog and to get some rest (the weather forecast for tomorrow offers no other option: rain, ENE wind 46 – 65 km/h).
