- Summary of Baltic Sea — 2017
“Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
— Mark Twain
A few years ago, I read an article on the EuroVelo 10, a cycle route around the Baltic Sea (EuroVelo 10), in a cycle touring magazine and immediately knew that this would be a great challenge to do the trip and a good opportunity to visit Gdańsk, Masuria and the Masurian Lake District, the Baltic states, to enjoy Finland and Sweden’s vast landscapes and “everyman’s right”, and to cycle through Copenhagen, the most bike-friendly city in the world, before returning to Germany to complete the loop.
The above planned route may be subject to change during the tour
Tour length: about 7.500 km
Route details: www.komoot.com/tour/15592787
Planned for: May – August 2017
